Savoy Style (Fuchsia & Jet) is a finely woven, silken shot-jacquard, lightweight viscose/acetate twill and boasts jacquard woven tiled design of Art Deco motifs, from pyramid-like triangles to the gem-like, light-reflecting geometrics and strong curves - worthy of a place in one of its namesakes' suites. Savoy Style (Fuchsia & Jet) boasts rich jet black twill outlines, set against a deliciously brooding ruby, satin background.

This quality fabric has a wonderful classic, yet modern style that's seriously smart. This silken stunner will appeal to those who love the timeless yet striking design of the Deco period. The clever jacquard weave produces varied visual and lightly textural interest that oozes prestige and class. Classic Deco-style designs have perennial appeal. These impeccably woven fabrics can be dual-sided should you choose, displaying subtle darker undertones on the reverse.

The overall effect is rich, smart and sophisticated. Suitable for both ladies and gents clothing, perfect for adding a conversational rich colour pop to your wardrobe, the perfect antidote to dull and dreary winter days.

Boasting a super soft, cool silky feel and subtle sheen you would be forgiven for thinking this was silk. This first-rate shot twill-jacquard has a sumptuous hand that is stable width and lengthwise, with a delicious drape. All you have to decide now is what to make.

Savoy Style will of course make a statement lining for your bespoke woollen jackets, waistcoats and coats. You won’t be able to resist showing people your wonderful lining! Why hide this handsome beauty away? You can also create stunning occasion wear pieces; dresses with drape & gathered details, bow-tie blouses & dresses, cowl necked shift dresses, simple dolman sleeved tops and quick-make slashed-neck scarf style tops will all add a hint of luxury to simple jeans and top outfits.

Take this elegant wonder and create dramatic '70s inspired puffed full-sleeve shirts with deep cuffs and matching cover buttons. Extend this style into gathered tiered-skirted dresses and wear with statement boots for a fabulous A/W occasion wear piece.

Spoil yourself or someone special and create stylish and sumptuous traditional pyjamas with coordinating piped collars and pocket tops. Or the prettiest camisole and shorts set with coordinating lace and matching kimono robe. Take a look at Vanessa Mooncie's 'The Gentleman's Wardrobe' for a fabulous two-tone gents robe pattern and all the instructions too!

Lives up to it’s namesake

This is a great fabric. I am using it to line a dress made in superfine worsted. It has more body and crispness than the average satin; it’s similar in drape to a fine lawn. It’s nice to work with; not as slippery and shifty as most satins. It’s going to crease a fair bit in wear, but it is very suitable to be used as a main fabric and not just a lining.
It’s a true jacquard so although one side is the reverse of the other, either side can be used as the right side. The design is one-way, so you’ll need to use the with nap layout.
I haven’t washed it, so I’m not sure how it performs.
Finally, the “fuchsia” in the title is misleading. While fuchsia plants come in many colours, in fabric descriptions it usually means a dark and vibrant pink. This is not at all pink, but a glowing wine red.
