Specifications:

Weight: Light

Composition: Viscose

Width: 152.4cm / 60inch

Pattern repeat: 3cm / 1.1inch

Introduction:

Smooth, soft, strong, stable, smart and sophisticated - these are but a few qualities of this excellent fabric. Lightweight Viscose Shirting - Silken Highways Navy is a high thread count, viscose, shirting, woven with ribbon-like shimmering diagonal twill stripes set against the matte base.

Properties:

Between the shimmering stripes are dashed lines akin to endless highways stretching into the distance. The combination of the silken stripes set against classic matte navy is super smart, making this stunning shirt weight viscose a sophisticated choice.

Boasting a stable handle and excellent drape quality, this quality woven fabric is easy to work with and will wash and wear well.

Garment Suggestions:

Shirting fabrics do make the most stunning shirts and blouses. There are hundreds of more practical uses, such as: cool yet smart work shirt dresses, summer shorts, culottes, playsuits, gathered tea dresses and skirts, pleated skirts, pinafores, tunic tops, Bardot tops, bell sleeve tops and pleated sleeved tops.

Dark navy

A soft fabric with a diagonal pattern which could be used to effect with a chevron at centre back or centre front of a blouse. Equally it would make a good lining for a jacket. The navy was too dark for my linking, almost black.
