Introduction:
Pink Puce Shot was originally created for a top British designer renowned for his iconic Brit style and stylish men's and women's wear. This stunning shot, two-tone Italian fabric is woven with superfine high thread count yarns in an impeccable smooth/flat weave and is suitable for a host of stylish makes.
Colour:
Deep pink red, almost burgundy-hued silken fine cotton yarns are closely packed together across the warp to form the base for classic natural white weft yarns. The combination of the two tones produces a wonderfully rich, yet subtle dusky pink tone with a lustrous almost frosted sheen. This is a fabric with a definite air of self-assured style, designer quality without the price tag.
Properties:
Pink Puce Shot is very fine & has a delicately lightweight handle thanks to its superfine yarns, yet is still classically strong. Boasting a stable handle, soft yet crisp, cool cotton feel and soft drape quality with an almost taffeta-like lustre which will pleat, tuck and gather to form pretty ruffles and excellent fullness if required. This classic Italian shirt fabric will of course hold crisp details such as collars, cuffs and button bands, but there are a host of other things to make from this first-rate cotton poplin.
Garment Suggestions:
Easy-make T-shirt style tops, shirts and blouses, shirt dresses, boho-prairie style dresses with tiered skirts and gathered ruffles Megan Nielsen - Protea, pretty little girls and toddler dresses with gathered, smocked yokes - use contrasting embroidery threads to create stunning detail, perfect for winter party outfits.
