Donkey Rugged Wool Coating is a truly hard-wearing and hardworking wool and mohair blend fabric. This closely woven twill is felted to give it a dense and roughly brushed quality.
Using yarns with an earthy and natural palette, including visible mohair fibres, Donkey Rugged Wool Coating is supremely warm and will mix and match perfectly wit rough spun wool tweeds and other country clothing fabric choices.
Boasting a super sturdy and stable handle, it has a traditional and typical rough spun wool feel and a heavy drape quality. Hard-wearing field coats and jackets made up in Donkey will team up perfectly with country tweeds.
This heavy fabric is ideal for donkey jacket styles with leather yokes. Team your garments up with weathered tan leather for a superb combination?
If clothes making isn't your forte, use Donkey for upholstery and soft furnishing projects such as seat pads, boxed cushions and foot stools. You could also appliqué with rustic country tweeds and leathers for a very rural/gentlemen's club vibe!
