City Lights is a super chic, banded Georgette, woven with superfine & super sheer crinkled bands breaking up the overall design to create a semi translucent effect which adds to the look of this sophisticated, silky, fine, occasion wear fabric.

City Lights takes its name from the wonderfully printed design that adorns its surface which looks like a busy city at night seen from above. A black and dark brown background with a hazy grid like pattern, depicts the car headlights and street lights in tones of light beige and burnt orange. This sophisticated fabric has a very  '70's style and is therefore perfect for all those '70's inspired fashions that are currently making a huge comeback.

Boasting a superfine lightweight handle which is stable length and width wise but has lots of movement otherwise. This chic fabric will form pretty gathers and ruffles and has a seductive silky drape.

Use these fabulous qualities to make pussy bow blouses, high necked (pie crust) ruffle detail blouses, such as ruffle bib-fronted blouses, etc. Extend this style into '70's style dresses using patterns such as The Wilder Gown - Friday Pattern Co or Stitchless TV's - The Pontoon Tier Dress, that are ideal patterns. You may need to line your makes or choose to make a simple under dress. Don't think this autumnal palette is only for the A/W seasons, this silky stunner is also ideal for sarong and kaftan style beach cover-ups or you can make simple stoles and wraps ideal for cross seasonal wear.
