This heavyweight and closely woven wool fabric has a fluffy and felted, blanket-like hand that is perfect for protecting against the elements. Stable and extremely hard-wearing, wool duffle coating naturally repels water to keep you dry and warm. With a heavy weight and accompanying drape quality, this fabric feels like a protective hug. Garment Suggestions:
Traditional Duffle coats are of course the perfect garment to make from this sturdy fabric, and the blank canvas, winter-white background allows plenty of room for creative freedom, allowing one to embellish with folk style embroidery or needle felting like the Polish frock coats from around 1850, these were predecessors of the duffle coat with toggles and hood. Get creative and add ethnic embroidered trims for instant results and a unique style to be proud of.
