This smooth cotton poplin has a clean and fresh look thanks to the white background and thin stripes of soft red, blue and green. Shadow Stripe has a high thread count and a classic shadow and pin stripe weave. Unusually for shirting fabrics, the stripe runs horizontal to the selvedge. The width of the fabric is also wider than average (62inch).
With a soft drape and stable handle, this is a classic cotton shirting is suitable for both smart and casual shirts, blouses, shirt dresses, tea dresses, 1950s style apron dresses, shorts, children's clothing, quilting, bunting, craft, patchwork and appliqué projects. The strength and stability of these fabrics mean they are also suitable for lightweight soft furnishing projects.
