Fire Pink - Linen & Viscose is a superb, closely woven, hot coral pink-hued viscose and linen mix. The combination of viscose and linen fibres produces a cool and breathable fine fabric with a soft and drapey hand. The rich Fire Pink colourway is bang on trend with Pantone colour predictions for spring and summer and they are; "empowering pinks perfect for enriching a palette of vibrant brights".
Boasting a strong and stable handle, this fine fabric may be lightweight and drapey but it will also make up hard-wearing clothing choices. It's cool and crisp, with the fine characteristic slubs of linen to add textural interest.
Fire Pink will drape softly and form fine gathers and pin tucks which, in turn, will create good body and fullness. Add some smocking details to the finely gathered bodice of a pretty dress for an on-trend Boho style, alternatively add some embroidered braid or appliques for folk art style worthy of Frida Khalo (Sewing Bee series 7 will provide inspiration).
Put Fire Pink to use for simple boat-necked tops and pretty blouses, it's also perfect for creating layering garments such as vest tops, drapey tunics and pinafore dresses. Heavily pleated culottes and shorts will look superb in Fire Pink but may require lining with muslin or voile due to the fabric's sheer nature.
