Beachcomber boasts a palette of natural earthy hues that resemble pebbles thrown up on a beach after a stormy night at sea. Sandstone beige, ironstone red-brown, sea coal- black and of course fine white quartz are but a few of the colours present. Streaks of natural white within the textured boucle yarn give the impression of seafoam glistening in the sun.
Properties:
The most amazing texture due to its double warp weave of fancy bobble/boucle yarn and superfine black yarns forming a sturdy and stable base. The combination of fine and chunky yarns produces a fabric that has excellent stability and a weighty drape quality. A dense and seriously warming feel is attained by the fabric being felted to shrink the spaces between the weave. This fabric is still prone to fraying even though it has been lightly felted.
Uses; coats, jackets, french couture style-matching pencil skirts, pinafore dresses etc.
