⭐ Jacquard Satin: 3metres of your chosen Jewel Jacquard viscose blend satin. Featuring intricate jacquard-woven designs in a soft and supple lightweight ex-designer satin. Perfect for an extravagant lining or an occasion wear statement piece
⭐ 100% Viscose Satin: 3metres of a plain black pure viscose satin. Perfect to coordinate as lining with your black wool melton
⭐ Zip: YKK black chunky zip. Perfect for jackets & coats

Surprise Box Breakdown
Jet Black 100% Wool Melton:
A beautifully brushed, dense pure wool melton (465GSM) in a rich jet black with subtle lustre, offering superb durability and a smooth, non-itchy handle. Its extra-wide 180cm width provides creative versatility, with properties that make it ideal for structured outerwear.
Jacquard Satin:
Make a choice from one of three lightweight viscose satins:
- Savoy Style: Deep jewel tones of plum & teal
- Koi Commotion: Elegantly styled copper & purple palette
- Peacock Plumes: Inspired soft sapphire & bronze hues
100% Viscose Satin:
This is a pure viscose lightweight satin fabric in classic black is perfect for lining your garment.
Haberdashery:
This surprise box comes complete with a selection of haberdashery items including: five chunky black buttons, a long black YKK chunky zip, 5m of black wool flange plait trim, and black thread, readily assembled to complete your project.

Sourcing Surprise Box Items
To highlight our commitments to sustainability, rescuing and repurposing end-of-line textiles, below is a breakdown of the items included in each Surprise Box with related supplier information so that you know exactly where it came from.
Melton: The black wool melton fabric included in the Surprise Box has been sourced from a garment manufacturer in the UK, whose surplus stock is available in short lengths only, ranging from 2.4m to 3m each.
Satin 1: This lightweight ex-designer jacquard satin is a firm favourite and perfect for introducing colour and style when used alongside the plain black melton. Sourced from a renowned UK fashion brand as deadstock fabric in 2022, these colourful lightweight satins are almost too good to use as linings, yet will harmonise the overall palette and add that finishing touch. Take your pick from: Savoy Style, Koi Commotion, Peacock Plumes.
Satin 2: A lightweight pure viscose satin from Avoca. Originally used to line ladies outerwear garments.
Chunky Black Buttons: 5 x Chunky Black & Pearlised Silver 3.5cm Buttons from Avoca. Originally used for the front of a ladies wool jacket.
YKK Zip: A quality open-end zip from a small independent local clothing label who have recently closed down.
Trim: Black single flange wool plait trim from Avoca.
Thread: The only non-deadstock item in the Surprise Box. Unfortunately, finding spools of thread that are deadstock is simply unachievable, but we’ll still send you the best quality!
