Colour:

Silken Teal this seriously rich and dreamy blue-based dark green, named after the Teal duck feathers is one of those hues that instantly elevates your style. Put this stunner with classic black for drama, team with dark Emperor purple for pure class and have fun with nature's own colour palettes and sit with tweedy browns, coppers and golds like the plumage of pheasants!!

Properties:

Silken Teal is as its name suggests a seriously soft and silky fabric. Woven from a superfine flat weave with viscose and acetate yarns to produce that characteristic lustrous semi-matte sheen of sand-washed silk. The fabric is stable length and widthwise and seriously malleable. It drapes with utter sophistication and will produce fine yet full gathers, pleats and tucks. The perfect weight for cvlassic shirts, blouses and so much more....

Garment Suggestions:

Silken Teal is an ideal lightweight and drapey fabric for layering feminine drape details over structured ballgowns or evening dresses. Create stand alone pieces such as elegant tie-neck blouses and dresses, we love the trend for dreamy prairie dresses The Wildergown from The Friday Pattern Co and Arya Pleat Dress Pattern - Sew Different are perfect.

Chic shirtdresses and drapey cowl-neck styles, such as Dolman-sleeved popover dresses are simple and stylish. Smart work-wear shirts in classic styles will look wonderful in this fabric. It's even perfect for basic shell-style T-shirt tops too. Use this versatile fabric to create oversized shirts and dress up your jeans for a quick smart/casual look!
