Midday Melody was originally created for a top British designer renowned for his iconic Brit style, love of colour and classic men's and women's wear.
This first-rate, horizontally striped, woven not printed cotton and polyester Poplin shirting has so many plus points you will certainly want to make more than shirts from it.
Colour:
A classic Harvard stripe cotton shirting reminiscent of university blazer stripes and all those very iconic English academic traditions. The uplifting and fresh-hued palette of Midday Melody combines the dreamy blue of cloudless midday summer skies alternating with music-stave-like stripes of cherry red, speedwell blue and classic navy for a seriously jaunty summer style. There is a classic stripe for every occasion in this family of University Stripe Poplins: Dawn Chorus & Evensong.
Properties:
This designer striped shirting is cleverly woven with superfine polyester yarns forming the warp to produce a sturdy and stable base for the cotton yarns woven through the weft forming the iconic horizontal stripes.
Looks alone aren't the only attribute, this excellent fabric boasts a classic cool, crisp texture to reach out for! Midday Melody is also soft, stable, and smooth, and boasts a malleable soft drape quality which will form pretty gathers, neat pin-tucks and crisp collars and cuffs with the help of a little light iron-on interfacing.
