Overview:
A lucky dip box of around 28 overlock thread cones, and no two boxes are the same. Each box holds 24 smaller cones of soft 100% polyester sewing thread in one grounding colour and five brighter shades, plus four large cones of bulk polyester filament thread. We have also included a length of fabric for sampling your stitch length and tension, or to put aside for a different project.

Properties:
24 Polyester Sewing Threads: Colourfast, strong, flexible, and very secure, with some elasticity. It will not lose its colour or strength, so it can sit in your stash for as long as you like.
4 Polyester Filament Threads: Soft next to the skin, giving seams a professional look, feel and comfort.
Uses:
The overlocker threads suit high-speed domestic and industrial overlocking and machine sewing for shirts, dresses, trousers, jackets and certain knitted jersey fabrics.
The filament thread is for garments worn close to the body that need soft seams: knit fabrics, sportswear, underwear, swimwear, and sweatshirt and fleece fabrics. A must-have for any avid seamstresses.

This is deadstock & priced to reflect its deadstock nature. Most cones/spools are unused but without their cellophane covering. If a cone has been partially used you will receive one additional cone in your hamper.
Additional Inspiration
Overlocker Hampers: Perfect for quick makes using jerseys, interlocks and sweatshirt fabrics with the filament thread. Filament thread can be tricky to thread. Try the lasso method for the lower loopers, and invest in good overlock tweezers. When threading the tension discs, pull the thread in a little, so it sits properly in the discs. To run the smaller cones on a domestic sewing machine, make a large cone stand: some people stand the cone in a cup and run the thread through a large tube or straw and back over the machine.
Zip Hampers: Create multi-pocketed sports-look garments, bags and other accessories. Definitely something to get your creative juices flowing. This will be your zip stash which you'll be able to go to and say 'I think I've got a zip like that'. If a zip is too long, shorten it by sewing through the teeth to secure the end. Make zips an accent feature on a garment, or create jackets that convert to gilets with removable sleeves. There are even jacket patterns that convert to a bag!
