This top-notch natural fibre sateen fabric boasts the most stylish solid black tone with the lustrous finish and look of molten lava or thick black oil, with rich brown undertones. Classic black is the 'go-to' that sits with everything and always has a timeless style.
Properties:
Black Lava is woven from fine linen and cotton yarns in a close flawless sateen weave which presents itself on the face side with a subtle sheen. The reverse shows the strong foundations of a twill weave at its base.
This medium-weight fabric is stable width and lengthwise with a structured semi-crisp feel which will soften with wash and wear (much akin to a quality cotton drill). A reassuring drape will be achieved when using this fabric at lengths over one metre. This high-quality sateen will form sharp pleats and full gathers where required. The density and weight of the fabric will also create drama and sculptural details.
