Overall: A calm, organic palette ideal for relaxed tailoring and earthy wardrobes.

Garment Suggestions:

Types: Ideal for jackets, blazers, trousers, skirts and dresses. Great for structured or semi-structured styles, as well as softer summer tailoring.

If suit-making isn’t your style, fear not. Put this superb fabric to use for less formal, but equally smart, outfits such as shirts, pinafore dresses, drapey layers like tunics and overshirts or shirt dresses, as well as skirts.

Patterns: There are many other patterns suitable for this versatile cross-seasonal fabric. We recommend the Cordelia Trousers, the Shepherd Skirt and the Juno Trousers.

Other Uses:

Accessories: Lovely for natural-toned bags, belts and everyday accessories that will complete the full outfit.

Furnishings: Suitable for refined decorative pieces with a classic feel. Soft furnishings such as cushions, under-counter drapes or table mats would create a country feel.

Upcycling:  Ideal for patchwork with other neutral fabrics.

Origins of This Fabric

Yorkshire Independent Clothing Manufacturer

This collection of dressmaking fabrics has been sourced from a Yorkshire clothing manufacturer, with 30 years experience producing quality, British-made fashion garments, who has now decided to retire.

With their strong background in knitwear, this range is led by an excellent selection of knitted jersey fabrics, along with a well-balanced mix of woven dressmaking material, including denim. They were originally produced for UK garment manufacturing, and so show the hallmarks of commercial-standard cloth - having good weight, a dependable handle and a well-finished feel. These are fabrics designed for commercial clothing production and will enable you to give your creations the ‘high street label’ and professionally-made look, wearing well over time and after repeated washing.
