Florentine Floral - Liberty Style Pima Lawn

Pima Cotton Lawn is new to Fabworks in Summer 2021. Considered a very high-quality fabric originally made in South America, but finding it's way to all corners of the globe due to its excellent strength, breathability and amazingly soft feel and weight; akin to lightweight silk. This is real luxury cotton.

Florentine Floral is a delightful Pima cotton lawn, printed with an all over scrolling botanical design with a heritage appeal, like antique Florentine endpapers on antique books. This detailed design consists of intertwining Jacobean style flowers and acanthus leaves, infilled with tiny floral sprigs (almost paisley style). The arts and crafts movement of nature-inspired motifs (favoured by Morris and Liberty) has classic timeless appeal. A palette of calming blues, greens and greys is enlivened with accents of gold and red.

A versatile fabric that will hold crisp details such as; collars, facings and cuffs, forming the prettiest (full) gathers for flounces, ruffles and all those extra details! This heritage classic has a very vintage style making it perfect for '40s style clothing, costume and other retro makes, yet its perfectly put together palette makes it equally ideal for sharp shirts and other up-to-date classics.
