Daybreak Pink - Chambray Style Designer Shirting is a superb example of fine Turkish craftsmanship. Superfine Lyocell yarns are cleverly woven to produce this classic shirting with a subtle tonality and the silkiest softest hand ever!

Daybreak Pink is woven from a high thread count of superfine (daybreak pink) yarns across the warp (width). Classic white fine yarns are then woven throughout the weft in a superfine twill weave which produces a subtle pink chambray style. Shirting of this fine quality is revered by Saville Row tailors because of its quality and classic style.

Daybreak Pink is super soft with an almost silken lustre (thanks to the Lyocell composition) which is displayed when the fabric falls into a soft and sumptuous drape. When gathered or pleated it will form excellent fullness, perfect for tiered and ruffled, full styles. Read more about Lyocell at the bottom of this description.

Garment Suggestions:

Daybreak Pink will make classic dress shirts and retro-style shirts like the one in Vanessa Mooncie's book: The Gentleman's Wardrobe with cropped sleeves.

Create cool cotton classics like the Sew Different's Camomile Kaftan or Darjeeling Frock

All of these ex-designer shirting fabrics will of course make the most handsome classic pyjamas with contrast piped collars, pockets and cuffs. Add matching robes for the full set, Vanessa Mooncie's Book: The Gentleman's Wardrobe also has a superb robe pattern!

Other Uses:

Add this fabric to your crafting stash for patchwork and applique pieces and much more.

 Lyocell Facts:

If Viscose and Rayon are the first-generation cellulose fibres Modal is the second generation and is known for its softness and lyocell is now third-generation technology, its properties are amazing

Unlike other man-made fibres, rayon, modal, and lyocell are not synthetic. They are made from cellulose, commonly derived from wood pulp, and more recently from bamboo. They are neither truly synthetic fibres (in the sense of synthetics coming from petroleum) nor natural fibres (in the sense of processing fibres that are produced directly from plants or animals, such as wool).

"Lyocell production does not use harmful chemicals "The skin is the largest human respiratory organ. Lyocell supports the natural ability of the skin to act as a protective shell to regulate body temperature and maintain water balance.

The microscopic surfaces of lyocell fibres, due to the nanofibrils, are smoother than the surfaces of modal, cotton and wool. It is the combination of this extremely smooth surface of lyocell and excellent moisture absorption that makes lyocell textiles feel so soft and pleasant to the skin."
