Who doesn’t love Denim? This hard-wearing fabric, made popular by Levi Strauss, originally for workwear has become a fashion staple that appears in most wardrobes. Now available in many different weights, finishes, prints and colours.
Darkest Navy - Heavy (Narrow) Raw Denim (13.5oz) is super heavyweight denim, woven in a traditional twill weave with a natural unbleached weft and dark Indigo double warp with very rigid fibres. Indigo is a deep and traditional dye, so there will be some colour rub when new, so pre-washing is advised.
This excellent denim will fade subtly and beautifully. An excellent combination of cotton yarns has produced a fabulously rich dark blue denim which will look incredible featuring contrasting topstitching. Boasting a super strong and sturdy, stable handle, width and lengthwise and a crisp cool feel.
This super heavy fabric is the big mama of the denims with an almost rigid impenetrable feel, (this fabric will nearly stand up on its edges), featuring a narrow width and feature pink striped selvedge. Best suited to industrial clothing or industrial style clothing, aprons tool belt/ bags and super sturdy bags and holdalls too. We recommend sampling this product to see how sturdy it actually is.
This reliably sturdy heavyweight will make superb denim jackets, coats, work-wear dungarees, like our Pattern Stash - Lynsey Dungarees overalls etc. Be bold - you can be your own fashion designer, by adding colourful contrasting top-stitching and different kinds of hardware; studs, buttons and zips you can create your own unique style. For some great, classic designed patterns, take a look at Merchant and Mills. There are so many other excellent patterns available too.
