Introduction:

This blended woven stripe fabric has a wonderfully chic French air, this is a fabulously soft (almost washed and worn) cool, breathable linen look Tencel and cotton blend fabric.

Chalk Pink Stripe - Linen Look Designer Shirting is woven from a combination of fresh natural white and subtle, muted chalk pink-hued yarns to form classic stripes and a wonderfully relaxed palette. A pleasing naturally derived fibre fabric with a very pretty country style, suitable for clothing the whole family and the whole house!

Properties:

This superb, Tencel and cotton blend does have the look of a linen blend but  all the softness of Tencel

This blended fabric gives you the benefits of both wonderful naturally derived fibres. Cotton blended with Tencel/lyocell produces a softer, finer fabric which results in fewer creases when worn, which in turn makes it easier to iron. 

Lyocell facts:

If Viscose and Rayon are the first-generation cellulose fibres Modal is the second generation and is known for its softness and lyocell is now third-generation technology, its properties are amazing.

Unlike other man-made fibres, rayon, modal, and lyocell are not synthetic. They are made from cellulose, commonly derived from wood pulp, and more recently from bamboo. They are neither truly synthetic fibres (in the sense of synthetics coming from petroleum) nor natural fibres (in the sense of processing fibres that are produced directly from plants or animals, such as wool).

"Lyocell production does not use harmful chemicals "The skin is the largest human respiratory organ. Lyocell supports the natural ability of the skin to act as a protective shell to regulate body temperature and maintain water balance. The microscopic surfaces of lyocell fibres, due to the nanofibrils, are smoother than the surfaces of modal, cotton and wool. It is the combination of this extremely smooth surface of lyocell and excellent moisture absorption that makes lyocell textiles feel so soft and pleasant to the skin."

Chalk Pink Stripes is stable, soft and has the feel of a favourite linen shirt. This light (but not flimsy) relaxed-style fabric will form crisp details (with a little light interfacing), collars and cuffs. Used in quantity it will form feminine gathers, pleats, pintucks and ruffles. So all you have to do is decide what to make.
