This quirky and fun fabric is a medium/heavy double cloth, woven in a jacquard weave with a slightly ribbed surface feel. The featured woven, slightly textured design (almost like a knitted moss stitch) has a soft and slightly spongy feel. The quirky motif is a peeled banana in a comic book style. The background is a lovely grey with lilac tones and outlined in a denim like blue/grey which provides a striking contrast to the lilac and raspberry colours of the bananas.
Banana Split has a stable but soft handle and a good bias stretch. It'll make quirky jackets - try a bomber with contrasting pink cuffs, boxy jackets to match with a pair of jeans, as well as oversized unlined coats. Wanting to steer clear of clothing?
